Haha just a quick question to spark up a conversation. What are some things that you do that would be considered geeky? (Technology,Science, etc. Pretty much anything Brain would do )

Telling people that you're related to Noah Webster, Ada Lovelace, and Lord Byron might be geeky. (Yep, I am. Yep, it's ironic that I'm related to the founder of scientific computing. The dictionary creator and the poet, not so ironic.)
In the honor's society at the college I went to, the professors and other students said I was a very bad geek. You see, to qualify for that society, you have to have an all-around high grade point average that it is basically assumed only geeks can earn. I accidentally and quickly became known as the group's token blonde ditz. I'm sure some particularly snobby members thought I had gotten in through mistake. "You're not a very good geek, are you?" was what people asked.
But what I think was really going on was that the other people in the group were more technical geeks whereas I've always been a literature and history and language kind of geek. I do think that technology and almost all branches of science are pretty geeky, sure. I say "almost all" branches because psychology isn't really considered geeky. Isn't that crazy? I finally got interested in a science, and it's considered the least geeky science of all.
I also think that reading the dictionary for fun is geeky, which is something Brain does and also something I do. Translating plays written in foreign languages is geeky. Studying history to a speck of the pretty silly extent that I do is geeky. Basically, all studying is geeky, but for some reason, "boy subjects" are considered to be more so and people are more apt to call ya a nerd if you like more technical things. Or maybe guys are also more likely to seem like geeks and nerds than girls are! I'm not sure, although that seems to be a logical explanation.
I think the reason technical and mechanical and mathematical stuff seems more geeky than other things is because it is harder for most people to understand. Still, it takes a geek to read ancient Sumerian... junk! (Well, the stories the ancient Sumerians wrote usually weren't really very good as far as stories go, in my opinion. The Egyptians and Greeks wrote/told better legends.)
