I just saw this today for the first time and it was kind of gross. For instance, Francine doesn't even cover her mouth when she does a huge cough. And the squirting-between-your-gap, that looked kind of gross. And seeing them with a full set of teeth took a little my affection away for the entire cast. And, aw man, it was sad to see Sue Ellen join in the teasing. Lol.
So, what did everybody think of this episode?

I actually enjoyed this one during my childhood, mainly because I could identify with Arthur (I didn't lose my first tooth until age 8 either). I just saw it on TV again yesterday, and I still like it, but it's funny you comment about the "gross" parts because I was just kind of noticing that when I re-watched it. I think it's funny they thought the squirting-between-your-gap thing was cool because I had a gap when I was little and no one ever thought that. ;D I also kept thinking, "Were they really ever this mean to Arthur?" I suppose they're just showing the peer pressure side of it, but it's interesting...I wouldn't have expected that out of Sue Ellen either, but I guess they were just trying to enlarge the crowd or something. There's a few undesirable aspects, but I still enjoy this episode overall.

My husband always freaks out about this episode... although he has a bit of a dentist-phobia, so perhaps that is part of it. The episode that grosses me out is Vomitrocious. I really have a hard time making myself watch it - although I love Sue Ellen Chickens Out, which is the episode that is paired with Vomitrocious.
