Arthur starts Season 12 episodes in October 2008! The first 5 episodes will air on PBS Kids Go October 13 - 17, 2008 with the remaining 5 to air December 2008 or early 2009. Titles of episodes TBA (stay tuned for more details).

The new episodes are being shown on Mondays, starting with the first being shown on Monday, October 6th. If you go to pbskids.org/arthur they have a preview of the new episodes.

So, is there going to be 5 episodes for Arthur Season 12 this year instead of the usual 10 like in Seasons 4-11? (Season 3 had 15, Season 2 had 20, and Season 1 had 30).

There will be 10 episodes to Season 12. They have been breaking the new seasons in half when the preview them. The first report we heard said they would be showing the second half of season 12 this winter - possibly December or January.

I even noticed new voices in the end credits for Arthur Season 12:
The new voice of Arthur is done by Dallas Jokic.
The new voice of Brain is done by Lyle O Donohoe
The new voice of George is done by Samantha Reynolds
The new voice of Tommy Tibble is done by Jake Roseman
The new voice of Timmy Tibble is done by Chris Lortie
Also: Arthur Holden is credited besides voicing Mr. Ratburn for the voice of Bionic Bunny
And: Missing from the voice credits: The voices of Sue Ellen (like in 2004-2005??), Prunella, Bitzi Baxter, Grandma Thora, Vicita, James, Baby Kate, Binky, and Arthur's Dad Mr. Read. Be glad Fern is still listed in the voice credits, so is Emily. Is it true for Season 12 we will not see any voice appearance parts of Sue Ellen or Mr. Read or Prunella? What about seeing Binky's adopted sister Mei-Lin in Season 12? Note that Mr. Haney did voice parts in Season 10 and 11 Arthur episodes despite not getting the voice - Walter Massey - in the credits.

I hope the last remaining Season 12 Arthur episodes this Spring feature at least 1 episode with George with speaking parts voiced by Samantha Reynolds!

And now for my PROS and CONS for Arthur Season 12:
PROS:
* New voices for Arthur, Brain, George, and the Tibbles.
* Hearing voice parts for Grandma Thora, Mrs. MacGrady, Mr. Haney, Sue Ellen, Bitzi Baxter, Ed Crosswire, Baby Kate, and even the trifecta done by Bruce Dinsmore: Arthur's Dad, Binky Barnes, and Bailey despite not having their voices in the voice credits for Arthur Season 12.
* The return of Alberto Molena and a cameo return of Grandpa Dave.
* The return of Dr. Fugue.
* The return of Fritz Langley.
* Buster returning to Camp Meadowcroak for Summer Camp.
* Mei-Lin trying to stand and walk.
* The first appearance of Chip Crosswire (Muffy's brother)
* Joan Rivers voicing Bubbie Frensky (Francine's grandmother)
* Nadine flying and telling knock-knock jokes.
* D.W.'s Netkitten.
* Arthur and D.W. and Buster spoofing the "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat" skits from Rocky and Bullwinkle.
* The appearance of Vance Legstrong, oops, I mean Lance Armstrong!!
* The return of "A Word From Us Kids" mid show segments for the last 3 Season 12 Arthur episodes.
CONS:
* Fern gets speaking parts in only one episode for the second season in a row ("War of the Worms")
* No speaking parts for Prunella!
* No speaking parts for the second year in a row for Miss Paige Turner
* Bruce Dinsmore (voice of Arthur's Dad, Binky, and Bailey) not getting voice credit in the Season 12 voice credits.
* Rattles still absent since Season 10.
* No Molly McDonald appearances (Like in Arthur Season 10).
* No Marina appearance.
* Not much voice parts for Sue Ellen - except for an "UH-UH" part in "Home Sweet Home".
* The first 7 Season 12 episodes having the "Postcards from You" mid show segments

Living in the UK, I'm not 100% sure what season is being broadcasted...some say Season 12 others say Season 13.
I miss the "scruffy" animation tbh...there are some good story lines mind you.

I know Canada and the UK are airing Arthur episodes for Season 13 that won't air on PBS Kids in the USA until Fall 2009 at least. |

I was wondering how long will the series run? Or a better question is who does the voice for arthur(and his pals!) and how old are they I hope there under 40!(then the show will last longer)
