Now about the first episode of Arthur Season 12:
"Is That Kosher": * A Yom Kippur themed episode. * Joan Rivers does a guest voice as Francine's Grandmother Bubbie, did Joan Rivers also voice a talking camel at the start of the episode? * Something that could have been used for the new PBS Kids cartoon Martha Speaks (another PBS cartoon produced by WGBH): Fasting is going without food all day. * Notice the return of Adil (Arthur's Turkish Pen Pal), Pizza Paula, and Beauregard Poulet in cameos/brief appearances. * 2 bloopers: a) Muffy is once shown sitting at the lunchroom table with D.W. feet and legs! b) 2 Ferns in the same lunchroom?
"Never Never Never": * Notice the D.W., Emily, and Grandma Thora hand puppets? And the Arthur family finger puppets? * How many times can you hear the word "NEVER" in the episode? * Nadine appears 3 times in the episode, and she tells D.W. KNOCK KNOCK jokes! (i.e. Knock Knock! Who's There? Orange! Orange who? Orange you glad you found out who your real friends are?) and even Nadine now has the ability to fly? * Arthur is still wearing his glasses even when they are broken. * Notice at the end a brief Mr. Ratburn riding his bicycle cameo?
NEXT NEW ARTHUR EPISODE is on October 13, 2008 - "Room to Ride" with guest voice Lance Armstrong, and "The Frensky Family Fiasco".
